DCC Ikara was established on the 8″ of April 1990. Earlier on, it had undergone the mandatory minimum of one year trial as sub DCC from January 1986. When the GCC saw the giant strides the churches in Hausa land were making, it became inevitable to encourage their efforts. DCC kara is the first Hausa DCC. The DCC has been instrumental to opening of many more churches within the Hausa areas. The DCC continued to grow until the need to split the DCC was taken in 1996 where Gubuchi was carved out and another Ikara DCC was formed. The DCC has continued to maintain leadership role among the Hausa.
