DCC Kauru was created out of DCC Gubuchi in 2015 when the General Church Council gave approval. Rev Gabriel T Kumsuwa who was the Vice chairman of DCC Gubuchi at the time co-ordinated the proceedings from Kauru and conducted election of the first DCC church council. He was then transferred to DCC Zaria. Rev. Daniel H. Madaki took over as the chairman DCC Kauru. He was assisted by Cat. Musa Dutse and the current Rev. Aminu D. Ahmadu
